This expression begins with Michter’s US★1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which is then further matured in a second, specially crafted barrel. The secondary barrel is made from wood that has been air-dried for 18 months and toasted, but not charred. The result is a truly distinctive and delicious flavor profile, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship involved, as it remains a Kentucky Straight Bourbon with no added ingredients—just the extra step of aging in a toasted barrel.
